An explosion in Sylmar today has caused serious injuries to four people inside the building. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Sylmar explosion occurred at 12349 Gladstone Avenue in Sylmar, California.

According to reports from Los Angeles firefighters, the Sylmar building explosion caused part of the building to collapse. The Los Angeles Fire Department has said that there may be additional people inside the building who may be trapped.

Early this morning, a one car Pacific Coast Highway car accident caused the death of a 30 year old passenger in the car. Also injured in the one car accident on Pacific Coast Highway were six other people, including a 1 year old baby.

Three of the injury victims of the car accident on PCH suffered critical injuries according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The car accident critical injuries were to a women aged 27 and 18, as well as to the baby boy. A picture of the wreck on PCH, from the L.A. Times, shows a badly mangled vehicle with massive front end damage.

A West Hills car accident early Saturday morning injured four police officers, including one who suffered very serious injuries. According to the Los Angeles Times, the car accident in West Hills happened when a woman apparently fell asleep on the road and hit a parked police car. Two police officers were then hit by the police car, and two other officers, in another police car, were then hit by the first police car.

As a result of the West Hills car crash, three police officers had to be transported to Northridge Hospital. The officer who sustained catastrophic injuries in the West Hills accident apparently suffered internal injuries and a broken leg. This officer was listed in serious condition. The other two officers who suffered West Hills car accident injuries were treated and released.

According to Fox 11 News, the Los Angeles Yoshinoya tow truck crash, which occurred at approximately 10:40 this morning, resulted in injuries to at least seven people, who were treated by paramedics. Five of those injured in the Los Angeles truck crash into Yoshinoya were taken to nearby hospitals, including the person who suffered very serious injuries.

A serious Los Angeles car accident occurred this morning in Koreatown, when a tow truck crashed into a Yoshinoya restaurant, injuring six people. One of the victims of the Koreatown Yoshinoya accident is listed in critical condition and four others were taken to hospital.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a witness said that the driver of the tow truck, which was a flat bed truck, apologized for the Koreatown accident at Yoshinoya, and claimed that the brakes on his truck failed. A dental clinic, which is located above the Yoshinoya restaurant, had to be closed due to the incident and possible structural damage to the building. The Yoshinoya restaurant and dental clinic are located at the intersection of Beverly Blvd. and Normandie Ave.

An Irvine car accident on Thursday resulted in injuries to four people, including two serious injuries. According to the Orange County Register, the three car collision occurred on the 405 freeway in Irvine, California.

The Costa Mesa Fire Department said that two of the car accident injury victims suffered traumatic injuries, while two others suffered what were described as minor injuries. The three vehicles involved in the car accident in Irvine were a Scion Xb, a Ford Expedition and a Toyota Tundra. Two of the vehicles hit the center wall of the 405 freeway.

Tragically, the four year old boy, Nico Lurie, who suffered catastrophic injuries from a 3 story fall on Sunday, has died as a result of his injuries, in a Marina Del Rey wrongful death incident.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the young boy apparently fell through a window screen, on the third story of the residential building, known as the Mira Bella Apartments, in Marina Del Rey, California. According to reports from ABC News, the boy was playing with friends on a bunk bed near the window when he fell through the window, landing on the concrete walkway below.

Police have said that criminal charges will not be filed and reminded parents not to place furniture near windows or other hazards.

A four year old boy suffered serious and life threatening injuries when he reportedly fell from the third floor of a high rise building in Marina Del Rey, California. The boy was taken by Los Angles paramedics to Ronald Reagan Medical Center, part of the University of California at Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the boy’s condition is “grave” after the three story fall in Marina Del Rey. According to the Los Angeles Times, the reason for the fall is unknown at this time.

When children fall from buildings, there could be various reasons, including negligent supervision by adults, or faulty safety precautions on the part of the building. Some balcony railings negligently have gaps or holes that a small child can fit through, which can lead to a disastrous fall and a Marina Del Rey premises liability case.

Some children may also be able to climb over a low balcony railing, which also may not be up to code and may constitute negligence on the part of the building owner, contractor and/or designer.

A tragic pedestrian accident in downtown Los Angeles occurred yesterday when, according to police, the driver of a Cadillac DeVille, who was trying to park on the street, allegedly accidentally, hit the gas instead of the brake, jumped the curb and hit a two month old baby boy. The downtown Los Angeles pedestrian accident caused the boy to suffer critical injuries. The boy was taken to Los Angeles County USC hospital for emergency care.

The mother of the boy was not injured in the downtown Los Angeles car accident. Police said that there was no indication of drugs or alcohol playing a part in this Los Angeles accident and that they did not anticipate making any arrests, despite the catastrophic injuries suffered.

A sign of the seriousness of the impact is that a parking meter was knocked off the sidewalk by the Cadillac.

Many people remember the tragic Metrolink train crash in Chatsworth, California on September 12, 2008. The crash resulted in the death of 24 passengers and injuries to 98 survivors. Today, Judge Peter Lichtman decided how to divide up the 200 million dollars in funds available to the victims of the Metrolink train accident.

According to the judgment, in the first group, the adult wrongful deaths, the average recovery is 4.2 million dollars. In the second group, the parents of young people who were killed in the train crash, they were awarded an average of 1.2 million dollars in wrongful death damages. For the 98 injured passengers, their personal injury settlements, based on their injuries, damages and future care were for $12,000 or more.
