A law office that started with a desk, a phone, and a promise to injured people
Back in the middle of 1976, when gas cost under 60 cents a gallon and the 101 Freeway looked nothing like it does today, Gary K. Walch opened a small personal injury practice with one simple idea: an injured person who didn’t cause their own accident deserves someone in their corner who will actually fight for them, not just process their file.
Fifty years on — technically more than fifty now — that idea hasn’t changed, even though almost everything else has. Gary’s son, Robert Walch, now serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, and together they run a father-son team out of two Southern California offices, one in Calabasas and one in Beverly Hills. What started as one man’s law practice has become one of the most established personal injury and wrongful death firms in the state, and it’s still 100% family owned.
We think that matters, and here’s why: a lot of firms that reach this kind of longevity start branching out into things that have nothing to do with why they got started. We didn’t. We are still exclusively focused on personal injury and wrongful death claims — car accidents, truck collisions, motorcycle crashes, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, dog bites, and slip and trip and fall cases — because that focus is exactly what lets us go deep instead of wide.
Fifty years of numbers that are hard to ignore
We don’t love bragging, but when you’re choosing the person who will represent you after the worst day of your life, numbers tell a story words can’t. Over five decades, our attorneys have resolved thousands of injury and wrongful death claims, recovered more than $150 million for our clients, and closed out cases at a success rate above 98%. We’ve been named Personal Injury Attorney of the Year and Personal Injury Law Firm of the Year multiple times, Gary has served as an arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and he once chaired the Civil Litigation-Tort Section of the Westwood Bar Association. None of that happens by accident. It happens by showing up for clients for half a century, one case at a time.
If you were hurt and it wasn’t your fault, here’s why people call us first
Choosing a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles County shouldn’t feel like a gamble. These are the reasons injured victims and grieving families have trusted our firm for fifty years, and why we believe we should be the first call you make.
You pay nothing unless we win
Every consultation is free, and we work on contingency. If we take your case and don’t recover compensation, you owe us nothing. There’s no financial reason to wait or to wonder if you can afford an experienced accident attorney.
We’re a family firm, not a settlement factory
Unlike high-volume firms that pour money into billboards and TV spots, we spend our resources on your case and your recovery. You’ll actually talk to your attorneys, not a rotating cast of case managers you’ve never met.
Fifty years of insurance company tactics, memorized
We know how California insurers evaluate injury claims, how they try to shift blame under comparative negligence rules, and how they try to minimize payouts. That institutional knowledge is nearly impossible to buy quickly.
We help you get treated, not just paid
We connect injured clients with orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, pain specialists, chiropractors, and physical therapists, often without any upfront cost to you, so your recovery isn’t put on hold while your claim moves forward.
Two convenient offices, statewide reach
With offices in Calabasas and Beverly Hills, plus remote and virtual consultations, we represent clients throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties without making your recovery harder to manage.
We speak your language, literally
Our staff communicates in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Portuguese, and Tagalog, because navigating a serious injury claim is hard enough without a language barrier standing in your way.
The accidents we handle, day in and day out
We intentionally stay focused. We don’t chase mass litigation or class action work. What we do, and have done for fifty years, is represent individual injury victims and families in the accident cases that actually happen to people in their everyday lives across California.

Car Accidents
Rear-end collisions, T-bone crashes, left-turn accidents, and uninsured motorist claims are the bread and butter of personal injury law, but proving negligence and fighting an insurer determined to lowball you still takes real skill. Our Los Angeles car accident lawyers build the evidence early, before it disappears.

Truck Accidents
Commercial trucking crashes tend to cause the most catastrophic injuries on California roads. We investigate driver fatigue, maintenance records, and federal safety violations, and we pursue both the driver and the trucking company under California’s vicarious liability rules.

Motorcycle Accidents
Riders absorb the full force of a crash with none of the protection a car provides, which is why motorcycle accident injuries are so often severe. We push back hard against the old “the bike must have been speeding” argument insurers love to use.

Bicycle Accidents
Distracted drivers, blind-spot failures, and cars that don’t check before turning across a bike lane cause devastating bicycle accident injuries throughout Los Angeles County. We hold negligent drivers accountable while making sure comparative fault arguments don’t unfairly shrink your recovery.

Pedestrian Accidents
A pedestrian has no steel frame protecting them, which is exactly why pedestrian accident injuries in crosswalks, parking lots, and residential streets tend to be so serious. We pursue every liable party, from the driver to their employer.

Dog Bites & Animal Attacks
California is a strict liability state for dog bites, meaning an owner can be held responsible even if their dog never bit anyone before. If you or your child was bitten in a public place or somewhere you had a right to be, you likely have a claim.

Slip and Fall & Trip and Fall Accidents
Wet supermarket floors, uneven sidewalks, unmarked hazards, and cluttered store aisles cause serious premises liability injuries every single day. Winning these cases means proving the property owner knew, or should have known, about the danger and failed to fix it, which takes real investigative work.
