Hacienda Heights Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A 51-year-old man from Hacienda Heights was killed when he collided with an SUV in Industry, California. The motorcyclist was driving east when a Nissan Rogue, heading west, made a left-hand turn. The car and motorcycle crashed, and the motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle.

According to the Whittier Daily News, the motorcyclist died at the scene from blunt force injuries. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. As of now, the motorcyclist’s death has been ruled an accident. The cause of the crash—determining if it was the motorcyclist or the car driver that was at fault—is still under investigation. One person killed in Granada Hills Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle accident this morning in Granada Hills, California, has resulted in the death of a man in his 50s. The Granada Hills motorcycle accident occurred at about five o’clock this morning on the 118 freeway, when a motorcyclist collided with another car.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the entire freeway was closed this morning during the investigation, but reopened after a few hours. The California Highway Patrol has not yet disclosed the cause of the fatal motorcycle accident in Granada Hills. Continue Reading

Los Angeles Motorcycle Risks

Riding a motorcycle on the freeways of Los Angeles is a very exhilarating experience, yet many of the reasons it feels so freeing are the same reasons why it can be quite dangerous. Lakeside Crash Kills Motorcyclist

Two motorcyclists in Lakeside, California were struck from behind and tossed off their Yamaha motorcycles around 9 p.m. on Saturday evening, June 10th. A driver of a sedan, heading north on Winter Gardens Boulevard, drifted off the road and directly into the area where the two motorcyclists had briefly stopped.

Fox 5 News reports that the 37-year-old female motorcyclist from El Cajon died at the scene. Her fellow rider, a 32-year-old male who was also from El Cajon, suffered injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the sedan was also taken to the hospital for moderate injuries.

Although intoxication of the driver is not suspected, the California motorcycle accident wrongful death remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). If, upon concluding its investigation, CHP determines that the driver negligently caused the accident—whether because he was texting, speeding, or otherwise at fault—then the family of the motorcyclist who was killed should bring a wrongful death claim against the driver of the sedan. Glendale Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

A man in his thirties riding a motorcycle in Glendale was killed around 8 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017, when his motorcycle collided with a car. The accident occurred at the intersection of Sonora Avenue and Flower Street in Glendale. The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries and remained at the scene of the Glendale motorcycle accident.

The accident caused a major fire. Although the firefighters and paramedics attempted to resuscitate the motorcyclist, they unfortunately were not successful. Local law enforcement is still investigating the cause of the fatal accident.

If law enforcement concludes that the crash occurred as a result of the car driver’s negligence, the motorcyclist’s family would be able to file a wrongful death claim and lawsuit against the driver. The family of the victim should immediately contact a California wrongful death attorney to discuss the details of the case and determine whether it would be possible to seek compensation for the wrongful death of their loved one.

CHP Searching for California Hit and Run Wrongful Death Driver

“Leaving Oceanside. See you soon.” This was the last text sent by Christopher Allen Isaacs to his girlfriend, Jennifer Gonzalez, before his untimely wrongful death. Around 5 pm on Friday, April 7, near the Santa Fe Drive exit in Encinitas, Isaacs, just 24 years old, was killed by the unknown driver of a silver Toyota.

According to NBC San Diego, Isaacs had been riding his 1995 Harley-Davidson motorcycle in between two lanes when the Toyota driver switched lanes directly in front of him. After Isaacs’ motorcycle collided with the Toyota, his body was tossed underneath an 18-wheeler. He died from his injuries at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver, a man from Montebello, was not charged in the motorcycle accident wrongful death. The California Highway Patrol officers are still looking for the driver of the silver Toyota, who fled immediately after the accident.

If the Toyota driver is found and the driver’s negligence caused the death of Isaacs, Isaacs’ family will have the right to seek compensation through a California wrongful death claim. The victim’s family would need to hire a California wrongful death lawyer to determine what types of claims exist and to represent them in pursuing those claims in court. If no responsible party is found, we hope there is a valid uninsured motorist policy to help with the extensive wrongful death damages.

Motorcyclist Killed in California Accident

A motorcycle accident in Wonder Valley, California on February 9, 2017, has been identified as Nikos Lukaris. According to Z1077fm, Lukaris, a 43 year old man from Twentynine Palms, California, was riding his dirtbike without a helmet or lights on Amboy Road when he was struck and killed by a Ford F-350 Super Duty pick-up truck. The driver of the pick-up truck was also a Twentynine Palms resident, Patrick Candelaria.

Apparently, the F-350 driver was attempting to pass another vehicle when he struck the motorcyclist head on. The California motorcycle accident wrongful death occurred shortly after 6:00pm. The California Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation into the causes of the motorcycle accident.

Avid Motorcyclist Killed by Drunk Driver in Lancaster Motorcycle Accident

A Lancaster motorcycle accident on Sunday, April 19, 2015, resulted in the death of Glenn Arnold Grimm. According to the Antelope Valley Times, Mr. Grimm, who was 69 years old, was struck by a drunk driver in a pick up truck. Mr. Grimm was stopped at the intersection of 90th Street East and Avenue K when he was rear ended by the truck.

Sadly, Mr. Grimm, who was involved in another motorcycle accident in 2005, where a vehicle ran a rad light and struck him, causing him to tear ligaments in his ankle, had spent much time searching for the yellow Harley Davidson that he was riding at the time of this accident. Mr. Grimm felt that the yellow color would help avoid a future motorcycle crash.

Mr. Grimm was a very experienced motorcyclist who often participated in motorcycle related charities for good causes. Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) will be honoring Mr. Grimm and accepting charitable donations for its cause.

The Los Angeles County District Attorneys’ Office said that the man who struck Mr. Grimm, Javier Guzman Pena, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the motorcycle accident. He apparently had a .08 blood alcohol content, has been charged with murder and is being held on one million dollars bail.

Motorcyclist Killed in Brentwood Hit and Run Accident

A motorcyclist was killed last Wednesday when he was hit by a van in Brentwood, California. The driver of the van did not stop to render aid or identify him or herself after the collision and has not yet been identified. According to the Los Angeles Times, the victim of this hit and run accident was Ehsan Fazel, who lived in Woodland Hills, California.

Apparently, this Brentwood motorcycle accident occurred when Fazel was lane splitting, which is when motorcyclists ride between lanes of cars. Lane splitting is a common act done by motorcyclists and it is not illegal in California, as long as it can be done safely. The California Highway Patrol advises that lane splitting, also known as lane sharing, is neither specifically allowed, nor prohibited, under California law.

This Brentwood accident happened on Sunset Boulevard, near Kenter Avenue. The driver of the white van continued on Sunset Boulevard and was not identified. Anyone with any information on the accident, including a possible license plate for the van, should call the LAPD right away at 213-473-0234.
