Los Angeles Bus Crash Injures 9 People

A Los Angeles bus crash occurred Wednesday morning when a Metro bus collided with a van in the Westlake/McArthur Park area of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles bus accident happened on Wilshire Boulevard at around 10:30 a.m.

According to the Los Angeles Times, of the 9 people who suffered injury in the bus accident in Los Angeles, six of the people had to be taken to the hospital. The injured passengers were reported to be in fair condition.

The cause of the Los Angeles bus crash is not yet known. Buses, as common carriers, owe a higher than normal duty of care to the people riding on the bus. If the private van is deemed responsible for the Los Angeles bus accident, there may or may not be enough liability insurance for the driver of the van to cover the potential claims that may be made by the 9 injury victims.

If the Metro bus driver was responsible for the bus crash in Los Angeles, the injured passengers, including anyone injured in the van, would be able to make a claim. Usually such claims require that a Government Claim for damages be filed before six months has passed from the date of the bus accident. Due to different time deadlines and requirements, it is advisable that any injured passengers of the bus or the van contact a Los Angeles personal injury attorney right away.
