Drunk Driver Causes Los Angeles Rollover Crash, Injuring 6

Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2018, a driver slammed into another car causing a serious Los Angeles rollover car accident. According to news reports, the driver that caused the rollover crash was speeding in the Northridge area in an attempt to flee a previous crash that he caused just up the road on the same street. In his attempt to flee the first crash, he ran a red light and crashed into another car, causing the car to roll.

The car involved in the rollover contained six passengers. All of those in the vehicle were hurt, including a 7-year-old child, and were rushed to the hospital. The condition of these Los Angeles car accident victims was not immediately known.

While no criminal charges have yet been filed, the driver that caused the accident was arrested. Authorities are continuing their investigation into this personal injury car accident, but believe the driver was intoxicated. Officers found open beer cans in his car—the driver was also taken to the hospital as he struggled to maintain consciousness.

While the drunk driver of the car that caused the accident will likely face criminal charges, he will also be civilly liable for any personal injuries the six people in the victim car suffered. Hopefully the drunk driver carries automobile liability insurance that will be sufficient to cover the injuries and damages suffered by these six people. Those injured will likely face many financial costs from ambulance and hospital bills, to subsequent medical care for their continued recovery. A personal injury claim against the driver can help them get financial compensation for their injuries and expenses.
