Motorhome Crashes into Moreno Valley Home Injuring 5 Passengers

Earlier this month the driver of a motorhome was arrested after he crashed into a home in a Moreno Valley accident. The motorhome accident in Moreno Valley occurred just before 11:00 p.m. and according to ABC 7 News the driver was allegedly intoxicated.  The owner of the Moreno Valley home and his wife were home, and awake, but were in the back room when the crash occurred. They stated they heard what sounded like a loud explosion in their living room. Witnesses stated that the motorhome driver came from a hill and never attempted to hit the brakes.

The homeowners, though completely shocked, were luckily unharmed. However, five passengers in the motorhome were injured, and one passenger suffered serious injuries. All were rushed to the hospital for their injuries.

Police will continue to investigate this accident. If it is confirmed that the driver was indeed intoxicated, depending on the circumstances, those injured passengers unrelated to the driver may have personal injury case against the driver. The driver’s liability insurance can provide compensation as well. Because the passengers were in a motorhome, they likely were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and may have even been standing. A crash like this can result in several injuries including whiplash, neck and back injuries, and even broken bones.

An experienced Moreno Valley attorney can assist the injured persons in filing a personal injury claim to help get financial recovery for their injuries.
