Not Every California Personal Injury Lawyer is the Same

If you are involved in a serious injury accident in California, or you have a relative that suffers a wrongful death due to someone else’s negligence, you need a personal injury and wrongful death lawyer that you can really trust, not a lawyer from a billboard or radio or television commercial. This is a common mistake made by many people who may never have hired a lawyer before and do not know what exactly to look for.

If you are hiring a law firm for your very important personal injury or wrongful death case, see if you can talk to the lawyer who will be representing you and your family. If you cannot talk to the lawyer and only get to speak with a receptionist, or if the lawyer sends an “investigator” to your home or hospital to try to pressure you into signing with them, then you should not hire that law firm.

Make sure you read everything that a law firm sends you when you are considering hiring that law firm. Our firm has an easy and simple to understand one page Retainer Agreement. We try to make everything as easy as possible for our clients in their difficult time. Some firms have five or ten page retainer agreements, which may not be a bad thing by itself, but it is a bad thing if they are using the multiple pages to sneak in terms that are not beneficial to the client. Many of the firms that advertise heavily do not care as much about having happy clients at the end of the case, so they will sneak things into their agreements to use against the clients. Oftentimes the clients won’t realize those terms are in their agreement until after they have settled. Do not fall for this. Read the entire contract. FATAL CAR VS TRUCK ACCIDENT ON 405 FREEWAY IN LOS ANGELES SHUTS DOWN FREEWAY LANES ON THURSDAY, SPTEMBER 21, 2023

According to ABC news, a fatal truck accident collision occurred in the early, dark hours on the San Diego (405) Freeway on Thursday morning, September 21, 2023.

Apparently a small VW Bug slammed into the rear of a large semi-truck, either in the right lane or right shoulder area of the busy southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway. This is an uphill grade of the freeway, approaching and just north of the Mulholland Highway exit, in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles.

Reportedly, there was one fatality in this rear end collision. The identity of the victim was not provided.

What Are the Cytotoxic Properties of Glyphosate in Roundup?

The chemical glyphosate (n-(phosphonomethyl) glycine) is used as a broad-spectrum type of weed killer. It is used globally to kill unwanted plants, by disrupting the shikimic acid pathway the amino acid of a plant, preventing the binding of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to the enzymes necessary for the plant to grow. In short, it kills plants dead! The Ventura (101) Freeway Closed Saturday Overnight, October 1, 2022-October 2, 2022, to Demolish Walking Bridge in Encino

All lanes of the Ventura 101 Freeway located in Encino will close for approximately 12 hours, from about 10pm Saturday evening to about 10am Sunday morning from White Oak Avenue to Balboa Boulevard, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

This one-mile stretch of the Ventura 101 Freeway crossing Encino will close for approximately 12 hours while construction crews demolish a pedestrian overpass that is considered too close or low to the Ventura Freeway.

In fact, one reason for this bridge demolition is to prevent taller vehicles from hitting this overpass, which reportedly has occurred in recent years. That obviously creates an unreasonable risk of harm and an unsafe and dangerous condition, exposing those government entities involved to exposure for huge monetary claims and lawsuits, including for personal injuries, wrongful death and property damage, both physical property damage and diminished value.

Do You Have a Honda Civic With Lane Departure Assist Problems?

Some Honda Civic owners have reported problems related to their lane departure assist system also known as the Honda Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS). For example, according to the website Carproblemzoo.com, the owner of one 2022 Honda Civic reported the lane centering/keeping feature began pulling the vehicle sharply to the right side of the lane causing the lane departure warning system to shake the steering wheel, this occurring on or about June 13, 2022, with just over 600 miles on the Honda Civic vehicle.

Another driver said in a complaint on March 16, 2022, that their 2022 Honda Civic pulled out of the lane instead of steering the vehicle in the lane. The driver stated s/he provided Honda with video and picture evidence and that the automaker couldn’t do anything to fix the problem. This individual said s/he are no longer comfortable using those features and that s/he don’t feel safe driving the vehicle while those assist features are engaged.

Obviously, these vehicle owners should not be using those apparently unsafe purported safety features, although they relied upon them and were charged for them by Honda. Palm Springs Pedestrian George Lammon Hit and Killed by Car

George Lammon, a 52 year old resident of Twenty-nine Palms, California, was reportedly struck and tragically killed in Palm Springs by a vehicle on May 22, 2022, at about 4:12 am.

The pedestrian vs vehicle wrongful death collision occurred at the 800 block of North Sunrise Way in Palm Springs, California.

The Riverside County Fire Department arrived on the scene and reported this incident.

HIT & RUN DRIVER KILLS PEDESTRIAN CARLA SKOWRONSKI IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA – PEDESTRIAN Walking Her Dog Hit and Killed by Hit & Run Unidentified Vehicle

On Sunday night, April 17, 2022, at about 7:33 p.m., pedestrian Carla Skowronski was killed when hit by a hit and run driver, when she was walking on the 9000 block of Foothill Blvd., in Rancho Cucamonga, California, as reported by KTLA NEWS.

The news reported that she was walking her dog when for no known reasons she was hit and killed by the hit and run vehicle on Foothill Blvd.

Pedestrian Carla Skowronski reportedly was only 56 years old at the time of this California wrongful death hit and run incident.

New California Wrongful Death Law May Help Heirs of Car and Truck Accident Victims Killed in Accidents

Jose Mora died as a result of a wrongful death collision between a white cargo truck and a sedan car that was changing its tire on January 25, 2022. Apparently the driver of the car was changing its tire, somewhere on the westbound side of the Simi Valley Freeway (118 Freeway) near its intersection with the San Diego Freeway (405 Freeway).

In addition to the tragic death of Mr. Mora, two other men were transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition. There is no new word on their conditions.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) just released data that up to December 25, 2021, 289 persons were killed in traffic collisions from January 1, 2021 to December 25, 2021. That is an increase of 21% more deaths than the year before (2020) and an increase of 19% more than the year before that (2019).
